Actor. Playwright. Sagittarius.
Hi, I’m Wesley Cappiello (he/him)—a New York-based actor, playwright, singer, and dancer with a deep love for stories. I’ve been performing since I was a kid growing up in Princeton, NJ—turning coffee tables into stages, belting showtunes, and wrangling the neighborhood kids into full-scale productions. That passion eventually led me to a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University—and to stages across the country and around the world.
Performance highlights include A Chorus Line (New York City Center Encores!, national and international tours), Gypsy (national tour), Cabaret, Into the Woods, Pippin, and Damn Yankees. I’ve performed on stages including New York City Center, Tokyo Theatre Orb, Bucks County Playhouse, Walnut Street Theatre, and more—across the U.S. and internationally. I’ve also been honored with a BroadwayWorld Regional Theater Award nomination and an NJACT Perry Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
Offstage, I’ve worked as a director, associate director, and choreographer on numerous theater and opera productions—roles that have shaped my understanding of storytelling as much as performing has. In recent years, I’ve also emerged as a bold, emotionally driven playwright. My work explores survival, grief, and the messy, beautiful ways people fight to connect. You can explore more of my writing [here].
When I’m not performing, directing, or writing, you’ll probably find me experimenting in the kitchen, binge-watching a trashy reality show, or curled up on the couch with my cat, Valentino Versace.
Thanks for stopping by. Stay as long as you’d like.
